gpcompare.ie is published by John Fox, Ireland, who is the data controller for this site. The site has no forms and never asks for your health details, name or contact details.
Cookie-free counts
We count page views and a few anonymous actions (which time slot you picked on the board, which calculator options you chose, which provider you clicked through to) using Vercel Web Analytics. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and does not identify you. Page addresses are sent without any query string.
Optional analytics cookies
If we turn on Google Analytics or PostHog for this site, they will only load after you choose “Allow” in the cookie notice, and you can change your mind at any time using “Cookie choices” in the footer. They are configured with advertising signals off, no session recording and no automatic capture of what you type. They are not running today.
Server logs
Our host, Vercel, keeps standard request logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and to keep the site running.
Stored in your browser
Your light or dark theme choice and your cookie choice, if you make them. They never leave your device.
Links to online GPs
When you follow a link to a provider, you leave this site. The link tells the provider you came from gpcompare.ie (a “utm” tag naming our page), nothing about you. That provider’s privacy policy applies to anything you tell them.
